The Garment

Initial Images 

 These are a couple of my initial images that I chose from the brief to help me with designing, You can instantly see my colour ways coming through, Teals and cream shades. I chose to use machine embroidery on my garment as I really liked experimenting with it within my sketchbook I was also inspired by the embroidery sections within a couple of these images. The water inspired me to use a floaty material overlay skirt to add elegant moving to symbolise the calm water. My colours are very sophisticated and neutral due to the nature of my chosen images. The circle embroidery was inspired by space and comets, due to my cosmological aspects taken from the brief.

Final Design

This is my final design, unfortunately I'd handed my work in before being able to take any photos of it on the body. It includes all my desired colourways that i took from my initial images. The bodice has felt embroidery on which was a new technique that I learnt doing the course. The skirt is made from a light chiffon material to add swift movement like the water images I collected. It suits my client really well as it has an elegant theme to it and you can dress it up or down. I was really pleased with the outcome of my garment and will be getting images of it up as soon as I can!
